MSDNAA
software
Any UGA student currently enrolled in a Computer Science class(s) can gain access to MicroSoft software downloads that are offered under the MSDNAA agreement with the UGA Computer Science Department.
Examples of available software are:
- Windows 7
- Windows Vista
- Windows XP with Service Pack 3
- Visual Studio .NET Pro
- Windows Services for Unix 3.0

Please Read!
Due to changes MicroSoft implementated in the administration of the MSDNAA web site, we cannot verify that the user registration email was successfully sent and received. Therefore, please follow the following instructions to complete your MSDNAA registration.
To access the MSDNAA System
Provided that you are enrolled in a CSCI class for the current semester, click on the above MSDNAA login link and then select Sign In
If you have completed the MSDNAA registration, in the Registered User Sign_In box, enter your Username (MyID@uga.edu)
    Enter your password to access the software repository
    If you have forgotten your password, then select Forgot your Password? and enter your username. You will receive an email from Microsoft which will direct you
    as to how to reset your password. Please note: This email can take up to 24 hours to receive!
For new MSDNAA accounts, you will need to complete your registration. In the box Not Registered?, select Register.
    In the Verify Account box, enter your Username(MyID@uga.edu).
    You will be directed as to how to complete the MSDNAA registration.
Once you have your login information, visit the url given in the
email or click the link above, and
then click the Blue Support button at the
top of page and please read
all of the Frequently Asked Questions.
To enter the system, please
click the login button and use the login
provided in the
stated email message. To view available software for download or
purchase,
click the Blue Software button. In the
Software screen, click the icon of the software that you wish to
download and follow the dialogs.
The dialogs will lead to a link of a "Download manager" type
application that will download the
requested file and launch its installer.
Important Notes (Please read)
- The "Download Manager" program can be started and stopped as
often as
needed to get the file.
- Pay close attention to the "Checkout screens" as they will list
a Product Key if one is needed the product. For example, Microsoft
services for UNIX does not require a Product key.
- Please be sure that the "Checkout screens" show "Free" and
"Download" unless you are sure that you want to order the offical media
disk.
- Please carefully read the EULA associated with each product.
- ISO files have to be written, or "burned" to CD using a CD
burning application. The Computer Science Department does not have
facilities available to create CD media. Please visit the Student
Learning Center for help.
- The MSDNAA website uses secure technology to handle Credit Card
transactions. The Computer Science Department does not have access to
sensitive data given to the MSDNAA website.
- The Computer Science Department does not offer support for the
software available for download through the MSNDAA
website. For support issues, please visit support.microsoft.com
- The Computer Science Department does not support "CD
Checkout." The only two methods available for software acquisition are:
- Direct Download
- Media Sales through Microsoft via the MSDNAA website
- Please contact Computer
